The serene courtyard provided a tranquil escape, while the attentive staff, especially Pablo, made my stay truly exceptional. The personalized service and delicious breakfast options really enhanced my overall experience.

Illa Hotel stands out as my favorite place during my trip to Peru. Located in the artsy San Blas district, this charming hotel offers a lovely atmosphere with a small garden square. The breakfast spread was incredible, featuring made-to-order eggs, fresh yogurt with various toppings, and crunchy French-style bread. This hotel is a bit of a hike from Plaza de Armas due to its hilltop location, but the views are worth it. I stayed in three different rooms, and all were clean, cozy, and well-decorated. However, the hot water could be inconsistent, especially after 6 pm, which was a little disappointing after a long day. The staff went above and beyond, helping me store my luggage during my trekking trip and even preparing a delicious lunch box. They were welcoming and attentive, ensuring every aspect of my stay was enjoyable. The only drawback was the lack of a fridge in the room, which would have been convenient. I look forward to staying here again and exploring more of what Cusco has to offer.

beautiful architecture, charming building, fair pricing
The hot water is only warm, making for a less enjoyable shower experience!!! The climb back to the hotel from the main areas is exhausting for those not used to altitude!!! Don't forget your two-prong plug adapters!!!

Clean room with a powerful shower. Wi-fi was unreliable during my stay.
-
missingWrote a review on 25 Octinconsistent amenities
The common areas lacked inviting comfort, making it difficult to find a cozy spot outside your room. Noise travel from the vibrant city is noticeable, especially with the hotel being situated in San Blas, requiring uphill walks to return to the hotel. Room amenities were inconsistent. beds were reported as too firm, with lumpy pillows, and the jacuzzi functionality was disappointing in the junior suite.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, far enough from the noisy party streets yet close to the center, allowing for peaceful strolls in a charming neighborhood. The bedding and towels were of high quality, ensuring a truly comfortable experience. Breakfast featured homemade jams and freshly prepared dishes. however, options for vegans were somewhat limited. Service stood out, with staff accommodating requests, even arranging taxis promptly. A minor downside was that checkout procedures weren't clearly communicated, which led to a brief confusion.

The location was fantastic, just a short walk to the main square! The breakfast was one of the best I've experienced in Peru, abundant with fresh fruits and options for eggs made to order. Staff were always smiling and accommodating.
Though the amenities were great, the lack of a fridge in the room was a minor inconvenience.
